Champion says mixed martial arts 'not like a bar fight'

Mixed martial arts, which combines boxing, taekwondo and wrestling, is a popular sport in South Africa.

Fans regularly fill out venues as they flock to see who will emerge as the best at the Extreme Fighting Championship.

One competitor taking the MMA world by storm is 25-year-old Angolan Demarte "The Wolf" Pena, the current EFC bantamweight champion.

Pena, who has won 11 consecutive fights, says mixed martial arts is not just a regulated "bar fight", but a professional combat sport that requires dedication and training.
