Emmanuel Macron visits French troops on trip to Mali

Emmanuel Macron has made a short visit to Mali to visit French troops stationed in the West African country.

The new president's visit to the former French colony comes less than a week after his inauguration.

He was met off the plane by Mali's President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.
