Nigeria's Katsina school abduction: 'I was very afraid' when the kidnappers came

Islamist extremist group Boko Haram has claimed responsibility for the kidnap of hundreds of Nigerian school pupils in north-west Nigeria.

Witnesses said the attackers arrived on motorbikes and started shooting into the air, causing people to flee.

15-year-old Abdulhadi Abubakar managed to escape by jumping out of a window. But in the chaos he lost his twin brother Mustapha.

The authorities say they are negotiating with a group of gunmen for the safe return of hundreds of children abducted from a boarding school on Friday night.
