South Africa: President Ramaphosa takes the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
Healthcare staff and President Cyril Ramaphosa were the first recipients of the 80,000 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine being distributed in South Africa.
More than 48,000 people have died with Covid-19 in the country.
South Africa hopes to immunise two thirds of the population before the end of the year.
