North Korea: Scenes of mourning for Kim Jong-il

Members of a North Korean art troupe braved the snow in Pyongyang to mourn the death of their leader, Kim Jong-il, who was said to have watched their performances.

In another event shown on state television, children are seen laying white flowers at Kim II Sung Square in the capital.

North Korea has declared 11 days of mourning which will culminate in a state funeral and a national memorial service on 28 December.
