Wallace 'discovered evolution' in south east Asia

Most of us have heard of the great evolutionary scientist Charles Darwin, the author of On the Origin of Species.

But what about his friend and contemporary, Alfred Russel Wallace?

As part of that, Wallace's collected writings on the theory of natural selection are now online and freely accessible.

John van Whye directed the project - he is a historian at the National University of Singapore.
