Charles and Camilla tour Australia

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have arrived in the Australian Outback as part of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee tour.

Camilla was introduced to an orphaned 12-month-old kangaroo called Ruby Blue during a visit to a rural settlement in Longreach.

The animal, wrapped in a cloth bag to mimic her mother's pouch, was cuddled by the Duchess who joked: "There's a first time for everything."

The royal couple have already had a warm reception in Papua New Guinea and during the next two weeks they will also visit New Zealand.
