India rape suspects in second court appearance

Five men charged with the abduction, rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman in Delhi have appeared in court in the Indian capital for a second time.

The judge has instructed that the case be heard in private, following chaotic scenes in court on Monday. The decision has been criticised by some, given the nation-wide outraged sparked by the attack.

Meanwhile a lawyer who is representing one of the accused has claimed his client was tortured for 10 days.

Rajini Vaidyanathan reports from Delhi.
