Suicide attack on Kabul police building

Taliban insurgents have claimed responsibility for a suicide attack on a police building in Kabul.

A series of explosions and gunfire were heard in the west of the Afghan capital. Local police said at least three suicide bombers entered the building.

Teams from the Afghan Special Forces, known as the Crisis Response Unit, are trying to clear traffic department.

Spokesperson for the Afghanistan Interior Ministry, Sediq Sediqy, said there had been police and civilian casualties.
