Fresh protests in India over rape of five-year-old girl

Protests have been taking place outside the police headquarters in the Indian capital Delhi over a case of rape of a five-year-old girl.

The girl was taken hostage on Monday and attacked in a locked room for over 48 hours, police said. Two suspects have been arrested.

The issue of sexual violence against women and girls has been under intense scrutiny in India after the fatal gang rape of a student on a Delhi bus in December.
