Afghan attacks target people linked to government

Officials in Afghanistan say gunmen have killed a prosecutor with ties to President Karzai.

It's the latest attack targeting people linked to the government and comes as the Taliban is promising to keep up its fight against NATO troops.

With similar incidents occurring across the country, the BBC's defence correspondent, Jonathan Beale, has been to Kandahar Province to speak to commanders on both sides of the conflict.
