Australian minister: 'More will be flown across'

Australia has begun enforcing its tighter new immigration policy.

The first group of asylum-seekers has been flown to Papua New Guinea for processing - a group mainly from Iran and Afghanistan.

The controversial new policy is designed to deter migrants from making perilous journeys to Australian shores in un-seaworthy boats.

Immigration minister Tony Burke said the government would be "true to its word" in dealing with asylum seekers.
