Afghan suicide bomb kills Kunduz district governor

A suicide bomber has killed a district governor and seven other people in northern Afghanistan.

The bomber struck in a mosque in Kunduz province where the governor was attending a funeral ceremony for a tribal elder.

Eleven people, including several civilians, were also hurt.

So far no group has admitted responsibility for the attack, but the Taliban are the lead suspects as Karen Allen reports.
