Tacloban Congressman: 'We are losing hope'

As relief efforts continue in the Philippines following destruction caused by Typhoon Haiyan, the UN says more than 11 million people are believed to have been affected and some 673,000 displaced.

Congressman Martin Romualdez who represents the 1st District of Leyte, told BBC World News that the devastation was causing people to "lose hope".

Mr Romualdez said: "No-one could have imagined the scale and could have predicted the destructive effect of the super-typhoon."
