Sri Lanka rejects UK PM's call for human rights inquiry

Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has dismissed a call by UK prime minister David Cameron for an inquiry into alleged human rights abuses.

He was speaking on the second day of a summit of Commonwealth leaders in the country.

Mr Cameron said if Sri Lanka refuses, he will push for the UN to conduct its own investigation.
