Typhoon Haiyan: Storm surge destroys house in seconds

Newly released footage filmed by an aid worker shows the tsunami-like power of Typhoon Haiyan's storm surge.

Nickson Gensis, from Plan International, was in Eastern Samar as the storm approached.

His footage from 8 November shows the storm surge completely washing away a house in Hernani, in a matter of seconds.

The typhoon killed at least 3,974 people and a further 1,186 are missing, with about 500,000 people homeless, according to the latest official figures.
