Thai opposition MPs pledge to resign

Thailand's opposition MPs are to resign en masse, officials say, after weeks of anti-government protests in Bangkok.

Opposition-backed street protesters have been trying to oust Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, saying she is controlled by her brother, former PM Thaksin.

The Leader of the Democrat Party of Thailand, and former PM Abhisit Vejjajiva said the Thai people had run out of patience with Prime Minister Shinwatra and her Pheu Thai party.
