Vigils and protests mark Delhi rape anniversary

Women's rights activists are holding vigils in the Indian capital Delhi in memory of a female student who was gang-raped and murdered on a bus.

The attack a year ago provoked nationwide outrage and big protests.

It led to a debate on the treatment of women in India and strict new laws against sexual violence.

Sanjoy Majumdar reports from Delhi.
