Pakistan film industry 'comes of age' with rise of multiplexes

Pakistan's film industry has only produced a dozen or so films in the last few years, and the country's cinematic output pales in comparison to the billions of dollars generated each year by Bollywood in neighbouring India.

But a rise in western-style multi-screen cinemas is proving beneficial to the country's film industry.

Pakistan submitted one of its films for Oscar nomination this year, a mark of the industry's growing confidence.
