Missing Malaysia plane: Passengers, crew and ground staff investigated

Malaysian officials say 25 countries are now involved in the search for the Malaysian airliner that disappeared over a week ago, ranging from Pakistan to Australia.

The authorities are looking again at the 239 passengers and crew, as well as ground staff, after it emerged that the plane's communications systems had been deliberately switched off during the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

The Malaysian Transport Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein, said the investigation had been refocused.
