Missing plane MH370: HMS Echo in 'challenging' search

A British Royal Navy commander helping with the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 has said it is the most challenging he has ever taken part in.

Speaking from HMS Echo, Commander Phillip Newell said the bad weather was causing difficulties interpreting the signals that they picked up underwater.

Sonar "pings" were detected last week by search teams, but no new signals have been confirmed since last Tuesday.
