India election: Telangana state to form after poll

After India's general election is over, the southern state of Andhra Pradesh is to split into two, with the northern region being carved out to create a new state called Telangana.

Residents of the region say the area has long been neglected and the creation of the new state will bring them prosperity.

The area displays a wide disparity between rural poverty and the wealth of the Hyderabad city, as Zubair Ahmed reports.
