Pakistan and India 'must work together', says Sharif

Pakistan's leader Nawaz Sharif has said his country will "work together" with India, after talks with the country's new leader.

Narendra Modi met with Mr Sharif on his first day in office, amid hopes of a thaw in relations between the rivals who have fought three wars since independence.

Mr Sharif said they should put the "legacy of mistrust" behind them and work for peace and stability.
