Australia asylum: Government 'will give 72 hours notice'

Lawyers for the Australian government have argued that a group of asylum seekers were intercepted outside Australian territorial waters and have no right to claim refugee status.

They have agreed to give 72 hours notice before any of the 153 passengers, who are mostly Tamils, are handed over to Sri Lanka.

Phil Mercer reports from Sydney.
