Malaysian PM: We must find out what happened to this flight

Malaysia's prime minister has said "no stone will be left unturned" to find out what happened after a Malaysia Airlines passenger plane crashed in the east Ukraine conflict zone.

Almost 300 people died when the flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur came down, amid allegations of a missile attack.

Malaysia is "unable to verify the cause of this tragedy, but we must and we will find out precisely what happened to this flight," said Prime Minister Najib Razak. "If it transpires that the plane was indeed shot down, we insist that the perpetrators must be swiftly brought to justice."

He also said Ukraine would negotiate with rebels in order to create a humanitarian corridor to the crash site.
