MH17 Memorial: PM Abbott 'We will bring them home'

Australia is holding a national day of mourning for the 38 Australian citizens and residents who died when Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was shot down on 17 July in eastern Ukraine.

Pro-Russian separatists have denied shooting down the jet with 298 people on board. International investigators have suspended work at the crash site because of heavy fighting between Ukrainian forces and the rebels.

Speaking at a memorial service in St Patrick's Cathedral in Melbourne, Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott said there would be a time to judge the guilty but "today we honour the dead and we grieve with the living".
