Inside Islamabad protest camp

Talks are under way in Pakistan to resolve a three-week standoff between the government and protesters calling for prime minister Nawaz Sharif to resign over allegations of election rigging.

Supporters of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan and cleric Tahirul Qadri have occupied the government district of the capital Islamabad bringing the area to a standstill; despite heavy rain they have vowed to stay put.
