Camp outside Pakistan's parliamentary session

A joint session of parliament has got under way in Pakistan as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif seeks to rally support against protesters calling for his resignation.

It is nearly two weeks since the Pakistani governmen in Pakistan was brought to a standstill because of violent anti-government clashes in the capital, Islamabad.

People have been camping out in front of the parliament, where a joint sitting of MPs has backed the prime minister to stand his ground.
