Hong Kong protesters break into government headquarters
At least 100 pro-democracy activists forced their way through a police cordon to break into the government's headquarters on Friday.
Thousands of college and university students had been on strike all week over a decision by China's leaders to rule out fully democratic elections in Hong Kong in 2017.
The police used pepper spray to dispel the crowd and managed to restore the cordon around the building's forecourt by the end of Friday night.
