Ghani's first 100 days: Deadlock over Afghan government

Ashraf Ghani was sworn in as the new Afghan president in September 2014 but he has still not formed a cabinet.

He cannot agree on the makeup of the government with his coalition partner Dr Abdullah Abdullah.

The continued political deadlock threatens the economic stability and security of the country, which has now taken on formal responsibility for military operations from NATO.
