Theresa May says Lowell Goddard is new child sex abuse inquiry chair
A New Zealand judge has been named by the home secretary as the new head of the inquiry into historical child sex abuse in England and Wales.
Theresa May said Lowell Goddard was highly respected and would be "as removed as possible from organisations and institutions that might become the focus of the inquiry".
Ms May also said she would establish a new statutory inquiry with a panel.
