India state to fine up to $200 for owning beef

The Indian state of Maharashtra has become the latest to ban beef.

The legislation means that anyone selling or possessing beef could end up being jailed or fined up to $200 (£130).

For many Indians, especially Hindus, the cow is a Holy animal.
