Woman attempts first solo cross Pacific row

An American woman is trying to become the first female to row solo across the Pacific Ocean.

Sonya Baumstein began the near 10,000km (6,200 miles) journey in the Japanese port of Chokshi.

She should reach San Francisco sometime in the next four to six months.
