Pakistan minister on army abuse claims in Balochistan

Pakistan says it is winning the battle against separatist insurgents in the restive province of Balochistan.

Baloch activists say that abductions, torture and killings by the army are deepening hostilities in the region.

It shares long porous borders with Iran and Afghanistan, and has been in the grip of a long-running insurgency for a separate homeland.

Balochistan's chief minister Dr Abdul Malik told the BBC's Shahzeb Jillani that "during a war... innocent people get killed" and called for a political solution.
