Myanmar: Supporters rally round Aung San Suu Kyi
Opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has addressed a rally in Myanmar's most northern state, Kachin.
Speaking to the crowd of several thousand, she told them that only by supporting her party, the National League for Democracy (NLD), would there be nationwide peace.
Ms Suu Kyi is constitutionally barred from becoming president - but if her party takes more than two thirds of the contested seats, it can decide who takes the top job.
If it is to achieve that ambitious goal, the NLD will have to win seats across the country in November's election, including in minority areas like Kachin state.
Jonah Fisher reports from the rally.
