Myanmar poll: NLD 'rejects Muslim candidates'

Campaigning in Myanmar's first general election since a civilian government was introduced in 2011 gets under way on Tuesday.

But the party of pro-democracy campaigner Aung San Suu Kyi, the NLD, has caused a stir by failing to select any Muslim candidates.

Islam is the second largest religion in Myanmar but Muslims often complain of being discriminated against by the Buddhist majority.
