North Korea: Huge military display in Pyongyang for anniversary

A huge military display is under way in North Korea, marking the 70th anniversary of the ruling Workers' Party.

The parade in the vast main square of the capital Pyongyang involves thousands of soldiers in tight square formations goose-stepping to martial music.

The North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, has addressed the crowd with a message of unity and defiance.

The BBC's Stephen Evans is there - the BBC has had special permission to broadcast, under supervision.
