Myanmar election: Cash still king as economy opens up

In just over a week, Myanmar - one of the poorest countries in South East Asia - will hold a historic election.

After 50 years of isolation under military rule, the economy of Myanmar (also known as Burma) is slowly opening up.

Opportunities have been created for more modern financial services, but for most people, cash is still king when it comes to spending.
