N Korea plans first Workers' Party Congress for 35 years

North Korea has announced plans to stage a congress of the ruling Workers' Party.

The last one was 35 years ago before current leader Kim Jong-Un was even born.

The Congress of the ruling Workers' Party is expected to take place in May 2016, according to state media.
