Obama talks about South China Sea at Apec summit despite Chinese concerns

US President Barack Obama has arrived in Manila for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit and immediately made it clear he wanted the South China Sea on the agenda.

This is despite the fact that China's President Xi Jinping has made it clear he will not discuss sovereignty of the region.
