Kunduz bombing: US aircraft bombed clinic 'in error'

A US aircraft bombed a Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) clinic in the Afghan city of Kunduz because of "human error", a US military inquiry has concluded.

At least 30 civilians were killed in the 3 October attack, amid a campaign to retake Kunduz from Taliban forces.

General John Campbell, head of Nato and US forces in Afghanistan, said the clinic was ''misidentified'' by US personnel.
