'They beat us with our fishing equipment'

Vietnam says that attacks by China on Vietnamese fishermen working in disputed waters of the South China Sea have been increasing.

Their boats have been rammed, equipment broken and crew beaten up.

The island of Ly Son lies in Vietnam's waters. The government says 20 boats from there have been attacked in the past year but that Vietnamese "do not scare easily" and the fishermen will keep working.

This is the story of one man who ran into trouble with a Chinese vessel.
