Obama: 'I don't take Duterte comments personally'

US President Barack Obama has said he shook hands with his Philippine counterpart, Rodrigo Duterte, when the two men had a brief meeting at the Asean summit in Laos.

The meeting comes days after President Duterte called Mr Obama a "son of a whore" - a comment he later said he regretted.

President Obama told a news conference he did not bear a grudge.
