Activist Joshua Wong hopeful democracy will win in HK
Later this month a 1,200 member, mostly pro-Beijing, Election Committee will elect a new chief executive for Hong Kong.
In 2014 Joshua Wong was one of the most prominent leaders of the massive pro-democracy rallies which demanded fully democratic elections for the city’s chief executive.
Mr Wong is now the secretary general of the new political party, Demosisto, which promotes democracy and self-determination for Hong Kong.
He tells Hardtalk's Stephen Sackur: "From my point of view it is a long term battle... I believe finally we will win in this war."
