Shipbuilding the traditional way in Gujarat

In the Indian port town of Mandvi in Gujarat, ships are still being built in the same way they were hundreds of years ago.

Craftsmen using skills passed down through the generations are building large wooden ships by hand.

Rajan Datar climbed aboard one ship in the middle of construction to see how it was done.
