Deadly Typhoon Hato batters Hong Kong

The storm killed several people in mainland China. In Hong Kong it uprooted trees, led to the cancellation of hundred of flights and forced most businesses to close.

Hong Kong authorities raised the typhoon threat to 10, the highest level, for the first time in five years.

Wind gusts reached a speed of 192km/h (119 mph).
