China celebrates mid-autumn festival

Huge traffic jams have failed to dampen the mid-autumn festival in China.

About 85 million travellers were estimated to have taken advantage of levies on many toll roads being lifted for the first time at the start of the eight-day national holiday, known as the Golden Week.

The festival has been celebrated since the early Tang Dynasty and symbolises good harvest.
