Biden bid to ease China tensions

The United States vice-president, Joe Biden, has arrived in Beijing on the second leg of a tour of Asia that has been dominated by rising tension between China and the US and its regional allies.

After a welcoming ceremony with his Chinese counterpart, Li Yuanchao, Mr Biden said stressed the importance of the relationship between the two countries.
