Hong Kong citizen journalist reflects on protests

Irene Li is an 18-year-old citizen journalist who has been documenting the protests in Hong Kong, she tells the BBC what protesters are seeking.

Hundreds of pro-democracy campaigners remain camped out on the streets of Hong Kong as a government deadline for them to leave passed without incident.

The protesters are angry at China's plans to vet candidates when Hong Kong holds elections in 2017.

Irene Li has spent a week documenting the protests. Since filming the numbers have dwindled and civil servants have returned to work in the government's headquarters.
