BBC reporter manhandled outside Pu Zhiqiang trial

The BBC's John Sudworth has been pushed away by security officials outside the court where one of China's most prominent human rights lawyers went on trial.

Pu Zhiqiang, who is accused of "inciting ethnic hatred" and "picking quarrels and provoking trouble", has been detained since May 2014.

Mr Pu posted comments on social media mocking the ruling Communist Party and questioning policies towards the country's minorities.

Other journalists and a small group of protesters were also manhandled by security officials outside court.
